Black Hills State University

If you already have a college degree but didn’t major in education, or if you’re well on your way to completing a college major but hadn’t considered teaching until now, Project Select could make you a fully certified teacher in just ten months.  The commitment is full-time, and like all Dakota ASSETS programs, the emphasis is on theory into immediate practice—you’ll teach in a classroom, matched with a mentor teacher.

Perhaps you’ve had a satisfying career outside of education but are ready for a change of pace.  Maybe you’re stuck in a job that doesn’t feel like a career, or live in a rural setting where career options matching your background are limited.  Project Select meets the needs of a wide range of men and women.  Click here to meet three graduates.

The Dakota ASSETS grant enhances BHSU’s RCAS Project Select program by expanding it to include Douglas School District and also by establishing a secondary program at Pierre.
